Getting around Hyderabad
The Metro, cabs and autos from HITEC City — what to take, what it costs and how long it really takes.
HITEC City is on the Blue Line of the Hyderabad Metro. The station is a six-minute walk from our front door, and trains run every few minutes from 6 am to 11 pm.
For the airport, allow 60 to 75 minutes by road in daytime traffic. The front desk books a fixed-price airport car on request — ask the evening before.
App cabs and autos pick up at the porch. Autos should run on the meter; if a driver quotes a flat fare, the doorman will help.
Charminar and the Old City are about an hour away. Go after 4 pm, when the bazaars come alive, and take the Metro back to miss the evening rush.
