House rules
Check-in and check-out, ID, children, pets, smoking, visitors, the pool and paying — the short version of how the house runs.
A few things that keep the house comfortable for everyone. If anything here gets in the way of your stay, talk to the front desk — most of it has a sensible way round.
Arriving and leaving
- Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am.
- Early check-in is free if your room is ready; a guaranteed check-in from 8am is ₹1,500. Late check-out until 4pm is ₹1,500.
- Every adult needs a government photo ID at check-in. Guests from outside India need a passport and visa.
In the rooms
- All rooms are non-smoking. A ₹5,000 cleaning charge applies to a room that has been smoked in. The smoking corner is in the Garden Wing courtyard.
- Visitors are welcome in the lobby, Jharokha and the Sunset Deck. Visitors going up to a room need to register at the desk, and leave by 10pm.
- Children under 6 stay free using existing bedding. Extra beds are ₹1,200 a night, breakfast included.
- We cannot take pets. Trained assistance dogs are welcome.
- Please keep the noise down after 10pm. The Garden Wing is the quiet side of the house.
Around the hotel
- The rooftop pool is open from 6:30am to 9pm for in-house guests. Children swim with an adult, until 7pm.
- Under-18s are welcome on the Sunset Deck until 8pm.
- Outside food and drink are not served in the restaurants, bar or banquet halls. Birthday cakes are the exception — we will plate it for you.
- Valuables are best kept in the in-room safe. We are happy to hold anything larger at the front desk.
Paying
- Bookings on this website take a 40% deposit; the balance is settled at check-out.
- We accept UPI, all major cards and cash. Meals, spa and laundry can be charged to the room.
- Room rates are subject to GST at the rate that applies to the room's price.
