The room

The Garden Wing is the low building across the lawn from the Main Block: two floors, no lift lobby next door and no corridor traffic past the room. Premier Rooms take its ground and first floors, and the ground-floor ones open onto a small sit-out with two cane chairs. Thirty-two square metres with a king bed, a writing desk under the garden window and an espresso machine. The bathroom is the reason guests rebook: a deep soaking tub, a separate walk-in shower and twin basins. Masala chai and Osmania biscuits are brought to the room at five each evening.
